Innovatie3

The mission of the Innovation Platform is to realise innovative solutions for sector-wide challenges. The Innovation Platform unites insurers in this challenging task. You can't do that without you! On this page, you can read about the challenges we will be working on in 2024, how and how you can contribute to them.

Procedure

Every year, the platform selects the most promising use cases based on principles:

  • Not feasible by one insurer: 'too heavy to lift alone'
  • Socially relevant
  • Usable by multiple insurers
  • Non-competitive, allowing for open collaboration
  • Meaningful for the industry, customers and society
  • The use of technology is a means, not an end

Increasing innovative power together

The participants in the Innovation Platform find out for the sector what a use case can deliver. If there is a sufficient chance of a large return in, for example, efficiency gains and/or improving data quality, a solution is proposed. After that, the innovation process is completed: the so-called 'innovation funnel'.

The innovation platform consists of a permanent team of employees from various insurers. For the implementation, they call on all insurers to contribute in terms of people and resources. So we are looking for you!

Participate?

For the use cases in 2024, we are looking for you! We offer you an inspiring environment where sharing knowledge is central:

  • You will discover new technologies and concepts in a stimulating atmosphere. You share knowledge with each other, analyse strategies and make valuable contacts.
  • You are given the opportunity to exert influence, because together you determine the course of the use case.

Three use cases for 2024

Insuring a digital passport

Developing a digital passport with relevant (insurance) information. Customers do not have to fill in the same information every time they take out or adjust an insurance policy. They decide for themselves what information they share. Customers can easily share the (insurance) information with insurers. The passport correctly records the identity of the customer and protects the customer online (click on the image to enlarge).

Organising sectoral purchasing power

Purchasing data for ESG obligations, for example, is expensive and complicated. By purchasing jointly, we expect to be able to deliver high-quality data to insurers more often. In addition, the use of a common system allows for a benchmark.

The future of messaging in the industry
